Locanda Art Deco - Venezia

Using a google map the hotel was easy to find. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small (normal for Venice) but clean.

Our room was on the alley and there was some noise from diners at a cafe directly below.

I liked the decor and the fact that it was an old building converted into a hotel. It was also extremely convenient & close to a vaporetto. The breakfast catered for Anglos by providing muesli, not just a continental breakfast. Both my husband & I appreciated the fact that blankets were provided instead of the usual duvet, which we both find is always too hot.

It is unfortunate that the hotel is opposite a bar, as the noise from late night revellers echoes in the narrow street & comes straight up through the windows. Fortunately, this was not a major problem.

view to the dull yard from the room, air conditioner was broken and thus we've got plenty of mosquitos coming in the night through the window. Breakfast canbe scarcely named as breakfast, there was tea/coffee with crousan/ piece of bread and butter and that's it. Location was not so close to the main square as it was described on the site

Lovely Art Deco appeal. We were in the annexe in an apartment which was charming, Great location just next St Stephen's Square.

The day staff (I cannot remember her name) was fantastic. She provided excellent recommendation for what to see and do, and gave us clear directions for every place. Always friendly, and nothing was too much effort for her.

It was a good location for the price. It was clean and the staff spoke English.

There was confusion about my hotel confirmation. Also, the links for the map directions did not work.

It's a very nice hotel, very nice location, and very good service, if have chance, I will select this hotel again.

The location of the hotel was perfect for walking around Venice. The hotel staff also took the time to answer all of my touristy questions and gave some great advice. The breakfast (coffee, croissant and some jams) was everything I needed to get me started in the day.

The room wasn't as clean as I would've liked, there were a few hairs on the bed when I removed the sheets, and the bedspread probably hadn't been washed in a few months. My room faced the street side, which made it quiet noisey. You could also head quests who were walking throughout the hotel, and the mumblings of conversations.

I liked the room design sloping ceiling, windows, felt like an escape in the attic.

The restaurant was closed which I did not know before I got there. It had a strange odor like sewer. Continental breakfast very skimpy..other reviews had mentioned it was very large. I booked there based on the restaurant reviews. Noticed on web site advertisement for better room for lower price.

The hotel was equi-distance between the Rialto and San Marco, which was perfect. It was also across the bridge from Peggy Guggenheim's Home/Museum. And, located on Campo S. Stefano, one of my favorite piazza's in Venice. It is an easy walk, only one bridge, from the San Angelo vaporetto. Once we checked-in, the staff jumped up to help take our luggage upstairs, making the need for an elevator irrelevant. In all, a terrific hotel in a great location!

The location and the services available made this a great stay, no where is too far away.

Not really a big issue but it would be nice to have some clear direction on the Vaporatie services as this information was hard to come by. It meant we had a 1.5 hour wait to leave the Venice because our line didnt start until mid morning.
